A chaotic mass-start race from the Valluga ridge in which 555 skiers, snowboarders and telemarkers charge roughly 7.5 km and 1,346 vertical metres simultaneously to close the Arlberg season. It is equal parts serious contest and costumed anarchy, and the crashes are part of the folklore. Entry is strictly limited; the finish-area festivities are open to everyone.

The mass start is in the late afternoon and the finish-area party in St. Anton is free and open to all, making this an excellent event to attend as a spectator even without a race number.
Insider tip
The finish-area party rolls straight into the Mooserwirt and Krazy Kanguruh and does not stop, so book a bed in St. Anton itself rather than relying on a last valley train.
