Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event
Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event takes place Apr 22 - 25, 2027 in Lexington, USA. The dress code is Casual and practical - walking shoes for several miles of cross-country course, layers and waterproofs for genuinely unpredictable Kentucky spring weather. Typical cost ranges from 500 to 1800 EUR per person.
North America's only CCI five-star three-day event and one of just seven in the world, held at the Kentucky Horse Park in the heart of Bluegrass country. Dressage runs Thursday and Friday, a full-scale cross-country test on Saturday draws the largest crowds, and Sunday's show jumping decides it in front of a packed stadium. It is now titled the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event following the sponsor's rebrand from Land Rover.

How to attend
General admission grounds tickets are sold online through the official site, typically going on sale each October for the following spring; reserved stadium seating, tailgate spots and hospitality are separate and pricier. Fully open to the public, no ballot. Saturday cross-country is the best value day and the one to prioritise. Kentucky Horse Park is about 20 minutes from Blue Grass Airport, and a car is essential.
Insider tip
Walk the cross-country course on Friday afternoon when it is empty - Saturday makes completely different sense afterwards, and the Head of the Lake complex is the one fence worth committing a whole hour to.
