Feria del Caballo (Jerez Horse Fair)
Feria del Caballo (Jerez Horse Fair) takes place Apr 24 - May 1, 2027 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The dress code is Traje corto and flat-brimmed hat for men, traje de gitana for women if you want to join in; visitors go smart-festive with a jacket or dress. Flat, closed shoes for deep sand. Typical cost ranges from 300 to 1200 EUR per person.

A week-long Andalusian fair built around the Cartujano and pure Spanish horse, where riders and carriage teams parade through a fairground of striped caseta tents from mid-morning until the sherry takes over. The Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre and local yards show high-school dressage and enganches alongside flamenco and rebujito. It is one of the few great Spanish ferias where an outsider can simply walk in and be welcomed.

Fly to Jerez directly or Seville, then take the train. Go late morning for the horses and carriages, then again after 10pm for the caseta and flamenco half of the fair. Book accommodation well ahead as the town fills completely.
Free to attend with no ticket for the fairground; simply turn up and pay only for food, drink and any separately ticketed show at the Real Escuela.
Insider tip
Unlike Seville, most Jerez casetas are genuinely public - walk in, order a fino and stay; the horse action peaks late morning with the paseo de caballos through the Parque Gonzalez Hontoria before the heat arrives.
