An acoustic-led music festival spreading roughly 120 concerts across a dozen-plus stages in hotels, on the mountain and in an intimate main tent under the Matterhorn. Headline names play stripped-back sets they would not attempt in an arena, and the car-free village turns the whole thing into a walkable circuit. Late-season skiing by day, singer-songwriter and pop by night.

How to attend
Buy day tickets or a festival pass through zermatt-unplugged.ch or Ticketcorner once the lineup is announced, typically in late autumn; headline nights sell out. It is fully open to the public. Numerous free pop-up stages around the village need no ticket at all, so a cheap version of the festival genuinely exists. Arrive by train via Tasch and book lodging well ahead.
Insider tip
The free pop-up sessions in hotel bars and on-piste are where the discoveries happen - you need only a lift pass, not a festival ticket, to catch most of them.
