A four-day Alpine regularity rally covering more than 1,000km of Styrian mountain roads, with a field of exceptional pre-1973 classics and a reliably starry entry list. It is prized as much for the passes it uses as for the cars, and it interrupts itself with the Chopard Grand Prix run on closed streets in Groebming. The roads stay open to normal traffic between stages, so following it by car is genuinely possible.

How to attend
Roadside viewing across the Styrian passes is free and the timetable is published on ennstal-classic.at. Grandstand and hospitality tickets for the Groebming Grand Prix segment are sold through oeticket. Competing requires applying with a period-eligible car in the spring, and the entry is curated rather than open. Base yourself in Groebming or Schladming for the week.
Roadside viewing across the Styrian passes is free and needs no ticket; only the VIP grandstand package at Groebming is sold, and the 2027 version is not listed yet.
Insider tip
The Chopard Grand Prix on the closed circuit through Groebming town centre is the free highlight - claim a spot on the church side of the square an hour early and every car passes at walking pace.
