Open to the public. Tickets sell through the official site and Brazilian ticketing platforms from around December, and early-round grounds tickets are inexpensive. Night sessions on the main court are the ones to target. Because the tournament falls near Carnival, accommodation prices climb steeply: book Ipanema, Leblon or Botafogo months ahead and take a taxi or rideshare to Gavea.
Insider tip
Night sessions on the main Guga Kuerten court are both cooler and louder; the Jockey Club sits under Corcovado, so you get the Christ the Redeemer statue lit above the court as the match runs.
