BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells)
BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells) takes place Feb 28 - Mar 14, 2027 in Indian Wells, USA. The dress code is Desert resort casual: linen, sunhat, sunglasses, high-factor sunscreen. Bring a jacket, evening temperatures fall sharply once the sun drops behind the mountains. Typical cost ranges from 600 to 3500 EUR per person.

Widely called the fifth Grand Slam, this combined ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event sprawls across the 54-acre Indian Wells Tennis Garden below the Santa Rosa Mountains. The site is built like a resort rather than a stadium: shaded plazas, a serious wine and food programme, and eight competition courts you can wander between freely. Desert light, palm trees and evening chill define the two weeks.

How to attend
Open to the public. Grounds passes cover every court except Stadium 1 and are the value entry; Stadium 1 reserved seats and series packages sell separately through the official site from the previous autumn. Early-round weekday sessions are far cheaper and far less crowded than the final weekend. There is no public transport worth using: rent a car or budget for rideshare from Palm Springs.
Insider tip
The first four days are the connoisseur's window: one grounds pass gets you unreserved seats in Stadium 2 and 3 for full main-draw matches between top-30 players, plus open practice courts where you can stand two metres from the world number one.
