A street race around the 6.12km Guia Circuit, run since 1954 through the actual streets of Macau with barriers metres from the walls and no run-off anywhere. The weekend combines the FIA Formula Regional World Cup, the GT World Cup and one of the last great road-course motorcycle races. It is a genuine connoisseur's pilgrimage: brutally difficult, technically fascinating, and a fraction of the price of a Formula 1 weekend.

How to attend

Buy grandstand tickets online through the official Macau Grand Prix site or authorised sellers. Reserved stands at Lisboa Bend and along the main straight are the prime spots and remain inexpensive compared with F1, typically the equivalent of EUR 30 - 120. Fully open to the public. Macau is reached by ferry or the bridge from Hong Kong in about an hour; book hotels early as the city fills for race week.

Grandstand tickets are handled by the organiser's official box office rather than sold on the event website, and nothing is on sale for the November 2026 race yet.

Insider tip

Book the Lisboa Bend grandstand - it is the tightest, slowest, most crash-prone corner on the circuit, it sits right in front of the casino, and it is where the entire race weekend is decided.
