Hong Kong Open
Hong Kong Open takes place Nov 19 - 22, 2026 (to be confirmed) in Fanling, Hong Kong. The dress code is Smart casual with light layers - autumn Hong Kong is mild and dry. Comfortable walking shoes for a compact, tightly routed old course. Typical cost ranges from 200 to 1500 EUR per person.

One of Asia's oldest professional tournaments, first played in 1959 at the Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling, a colonial-era layout of short holes, banyan trees and tiny greens that has resisted modernisation entirely. Precision beats power here in a way that has almost disappeared from professional golf. The compact site and MTR access make it one of the easiest historic tournaments in the world to drop into.

How to attend
Tickets are sold through the Asian Tour and local ticketing partners at low prices, with juniors often admitted free; note that the old hkopengolf.com address no longer resolves, so start from asiantour.com. Fanling is reached via the MTR East Rail line plus a short taxi. Weekday rounds are quiet enough to follow a single group the whole way.
The organiser's event page carries no booking link yet - tickets for the Hong Kong Golf Club dates are released locally closer to the week.
Insider tip
Fanling's three composite courses are short, flat and threaded with banyan trees, so a whole round is walkable in under two hours - and the MTR East Rail line gets you there from Kowloon faster than a taxi in Hong Kong traffic.
