Formula 1's Brazilian round at Interlagos, a short, bumpy, anticlockwise circuit set in a bowl that produces weather-scrambled races with unusual regularity. The crowd is the loudest on the calendar and treats the weekend as a national event. It remains one of the more affordable grands prix to attend properly.

How to attend

Three-day grandstand and general-admission tickets sell through the official promoter and formula1.com well ahead, and the race sells strongly. General admission on the natural banking is the cheapest route in and arguably the best view. Use the metro plus a shuttle rather than driving to the circuit, and stay central rather than near Interlagos.

Insider tip

Interlagos is a natural amphitheatre, so general admission on the hillside above the Curva do Sol shows you more of the lap than most grandstands do - and it costs a fraction of the price.
