A major contemporary art biennial organised by IKSV, bridging Europe and Asia through exhibitions in warehouses, historic buildings and cultural institutions on both sides of the Bosphorus. It is one of the most influential biennials outside Western Europe and the Americas. The current 18th edition experiments with a slow, three-leg format culminating in autumn 2027.

How to attend
Open to the public and most venues are free or low-cost; any timed tickets or passes are released on the IKSV biennial site ahead of the Sep 2027 opening. Pick up the printed venue map and plan a two-day walking route across Beyoglu, Karakoy and the historic peninsula. No invitation is needed.
Biennial venues are walk-in and no ticket or pass has been released for the September 2027 leg yet.
