Adelaide Equestrian Festival
Adelaide Equestrian Festival takes place Approx. mid-Apr 2027 (confirm on the official site; the 2026 edition ran Apr 16 - 19) in Adelaide, Australia. The dress code is Smart-casual country style - tailored casual, boots or flats for parkland turf, and a jacket for cool autumn mornings. Hospitality marquees are dressier. Typical cost ranges from 400 to 1200 EUR per person.
One of only seven CCI five-star three-day events in the world and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere, run through Adelaide's East Parklands rather than on a country estate. Dressage, a genuinely urban cross-country course and showjumping run over four days, wrapped in a festival of shopping, food and family activities. The 2026 edition also hosted the Oceania Championships, and cross-country day remains the spectacular centrepiece.

How to attend
Day tickets are sold through the official site; general grounds entry is inexpensive and cross-country day is the one to prioritise. Hospitality packages overlooking the main arena are available and worth it if you want a base for the day. Open to the public with no ballot. Because the whole thing is inside the city, you can walk or tram in from central Adelaide accommodation.
Insider tip
The cross-country course runs through the East Parklands in the middle of the city, so you can watch a five-star round and be sitting down to dinner on Rundle Street twenty minutes later - no other five-star does that.
