A coastal tradition since 1947, five days at Rockland's Harbor Park built around tons of freshly steamed lobster, a Main Street parade, cooking contests, live music and the crowning of the Maine Sea Goddess. The 79th edition runs Jul 29 - Aug 2, 2026 with free admission. It is the cheerful, unpretentious opposite of the fine-dining circuit - and the lobster is unbeatable.

How to attend
Just turn up at Harbor Park - 2026 admission is free, and lobster and seafood are bought per meal inside. Free parking with a shuttle runs from South Elementary School on Broadway. No advance tickets exist for general entry; midweek days are calmer than the parade weekend.
Admission to the festival grounds is free with no ticket - you turn up and pay per meal; only the Steins and Vines tasting and the delegate banquet are separately ticketed.
