Trænafestivalen
Trænafestivalen takes place Early Jul 2027 (dates TBC) in Træna, Norway. The dress code is Practical outdoor gear - waterproof jacket, sturdy shoes and warm layers for exposed island weather and the damp sea cave. Typical cost ranges from 500 to 1000 EUR per person.

A tiny music festival on a remote archipelago of fishing islands just below the Arctic Circle, where the signature concert takes place inside the cathedral-like Kirkehelleren sea cave under the midnight sun. Only a few thousand attendees make the ferry journey, camping among the islanders for a weekend of Nordic acts and otherworldly light. The logistics and limited capacity make it a true bucket-list find.

There are no hotels in any conventional sense - camping and fishermen's cabins are the accommodation.
Insider tip
Secure the Kirkehelleren cave concert in your plans above all - a performance inside a vaulted sea cave under the midnight sun is the whole reason to make the journey.
