One of the longest-running events on the DP World Tour, played on the Severiano Ballesteros course at Crans-sur-Sierre, set on an Alpine plateau 1,500 metres above the Rhone valley. The thin air sends the ball extraordinary distances and the peaks of the Valais fill every sightline. The course runs straight through the village, so spectating alternates between fairways and cafe terraces.

How to attend
Day tickets are affordable and sold via omegaeuropeanmasters.com, with children usually admitted free. Crans-Montana is reached by funicular from Sierre in the Rhone valley, or by a slow mountain road. The compact village-course layout means no shuttles are needed once you are there, and combining the week with an Alpine walking holiday is the natural play.
Insider tip
Note the 2026 edition has moved to early September, not late August as previously listed - and take the funicular from Sierre rather than driving, because the mountain road is slow and Crans-Montana parking is severely limited during tournament week.
