Epsom Derby
Epsom Derby takes place Jun 4 - 5, 2027 in Epsom, United Kingdom. The dress code is Formal in the Queen Elizabeth II Stand - morning dress and top hats encouraged, jacket and tie minimum for men, dresses and hats for women. The free infield Downs is completely casual, picnic-blanket territory. Free to attend; budget up to 700 EUR per person for hospitality and extras.

The oldest and most prestigious of Britain's five flat Classics, run over a mile and a half of switchbacking, cambered Epsom Downs turf since 1780, with the Oaks on Friday and the Derby on Saturday afternoon. The course itself is the test: a steep climb, a sharp left-hand descent at Tattenham Corner, then a straight that throws horses off balance. It is also the most democratic big day in British racing, with the free infield packed with families and funfair rides while morning dress fills the grandstand.
