The draw is proximity - langoustine, king crab and skrei cod come straight off boats you can see from the table. Combine city dining with a fjord cruise or the Flam railway for the full circuit.

How to attend
No tickets needed - this is a build-it-yourself itinerary. Reserve the starred restaurants (Bare, Lysverket) a few weeks ahead online, and book Cornelius's boat-access dinner via its website. May to September gives the best weather and the full seafood range; budget 600 - 1500 EUR for a well-eaten long weekend including lodging.
There is no ticket and no organiser - you reserve each restaurant directly and build the itinerary yourself.
Insider tip
Skip the tourist-priced fish market stalls for lunch and book Cornelius Sjomatrestaurant instead - the boat transfer across the fjord is half the experience.
