Roland-Garros (French Open)
Roland-Garros (French Open) takes place May 17 - Jun 6, 2027 in Paris, France. The dress code is No enforced code; smart-casual is the norm. The Village, boxes and hospitality expect Parisian polish - a jacket, a dress, real shoes, no sportswear. Typical cost ranges from 400 to 3000 EUR per person.

The clay-court Grand Slam, played at Stade Roland-Garros on the western edge of Paris since 1928. Physically the most brutal of the majors and the slowest to reward power, it is also the most sensory: crushed brick underfoot, the smell of watered clay, and a crowd that whistles and sings. The rebuilt Court Philippe-Chatrier now has a retractable roof, and Court Simonne-Mathieu sits inside a botanical greenhouse.

How to attend
Open to the public but demand far outstrips supply. Register free on the official ticket site for the winter draw, which allocates the bulk of seats, then chase the spring general sale and the official resale platform, which is the only safe secondary route. Grounds passes cover the outer courts and are the value entry; Chatrier seats and Village hospitality run into the hundreds or thousands. Metro line 10 to Porte d'Auteuil or line 9 to Michel-Ange Molitor.
Insider tip
The first Sunday and the qualifying week are the insider's bargain: cheap grounds access, uncrowded outer courts, and the same red clay, ochre light and Parisian crowd as the second week.
