The largest and oldest music and performing arts festival in the Nordic region, spanning classical music, theatre, dance and opera across some 150 events in the historic harbour city. Its deep ties to Edvard Grieg bring recitals to his villa Troldhaugen, alongside major international orchestras and artists-in-residence. Bergen in festival weeks is the Nordic answer to Salzburg.
